Dark Game

I like films which say the theme in subtle, abstract manner.I wanted to try this and i think this film did come out well with neccessary abstractness. Thanks to Mark williams, a feature film director in US, for lending me all the equipments and giving me technical guidance.Hats off to Cat, Brandon and Aaron who did a brilliant acting.

I would have been shot by Burlington Police department while taking this film. Some one in my apartment believed Aaron as dangerous intruder, and called 911.After the shoot i opened my house door to see three cops pointing gun at us.We did have a great time explaining that its just film shoot.Anyways my name is now in police books :-)

Watch and 'good or bad' leave ur comments.

Good one da! Looks much more professional than ur previous works. And to get into the police books for shooting a film shows ur dedication...

As you mentioned acting was excellent and the 'hollywood effect' was definitely there.

Things to improve in my view:

1. I guess there was a small glitch in editing when the couple looked out of the window to see who's out there.

2. The suspense bg track could've been made lengthier. Abrupt repetition could be felt here and there.

3. As much abstract as it was till the entry of the guy a.k.a the virus, things became way too explanatory and narrative in the end. My way of showing this would be to use the punn on "Did u close the door" and just cut it there... Then show these ppl dead and perhaps show a ribbon hanging in the window bar or somewhere and display "Play safe. Prevent AIDS"...

Overall, I could see u improving but still there are things that u need to focus on! All the best... :)

Hi Karthik,

I saw all three shortfilms & liked " Who's the Indian " the most..Not bcos that our class friends acted but it was truly perfect......

"Dark Game " ---Well I could c another Guatham Vasudev Menon in you man.....thrilling & was amazing& extraordinary....

Would suggest if you could have given a better title for" Outpouring"....I know u are an innovative character......

Can u do a short film on child care ....one like TZP .....or on ppl who are physically disabled or a film on "SAFETY "

Im not talikn about " Play Safe" but something on Road Accidents ,safety measures sort of stuff...

At the outset, all pieces were outstanding buddy....

Standing Ovation to you...

Regards

Syed Aslam S
