Broken Gods

This film was shot for a ONE minute film competition conducted by Ability film festival chennai. Film shouldn't be more than 60 seconds and it should convey the theme, .... well you will come to know of the theme in the end.

One minute films are always challenging and interesting. You would know it, if u had attended 1:1 filmmaking workshop in Filmcamp.tv bangalore. This one too was really challenging. Me, Prasath and Srini did put our full effort and as usual there were some problems, especially in arranging 'God idols'. We also had a risk of getting attacked by some Sena's or Rss :),... as we had quite a few re-takes for the title shot, that too infront of  a big temple in madurai. Thanks to badshah who did a splendind job, though he was facing camera for first time.

And coming back to the theme,i got mixed reviews from people who saw it.I know there are other ways to tell the theme, i.e 'Telling by not showing'. But i wanted 'Telling by showing' , Showing in right sense and i felt there is nothing wrong it. You will get what i am talking about after watching the film. Arguments/Discussions are welcome in this aspect...

Watch it and let me know your comments.

You can watch the HD version by CLICKING HERE.

P.S: This film was not short listed for final round and i am not saying that i am not disappointed. Failures are always painful.

A year ago, I broke my leg and was immobile for about a month. Now I can walk, but I know the world is very different when seen through the eyes of a physically challenged.

This video brought tears in my eyes. Loved it!
