காட்சிப்பிழை - Parallax
This is a short film which had a long pre-production time of all short films i did so far. It was a great and tiring experience to teach and direct kids.Also this film involved different locations and was shot in 3 days.I initially thought of hiring cameraman, music composer and editor.However i ended up doing everything. Thanks to all the kids who did a great job in the end.

Maapla... Kalakkitta da... Seriously... This is easily ur best by far; and u know I mean it when I say so! :)
The way u correlated all the pieces together was simply awesome. Theme-wise or the screenplay-wise it was perfect to the T.
Another must mention aspect is the shots and the angles u used; the variation in lighting... Man... u have really improved on those things! :) Amazing da. Melur pasangala kaattrappao laesaa overcast skies kaatti adha appidiyae Madurai layum continue pannadhu simply superb. Not sure if that was intentional or coincidental.
Adhae maadhiri andha rendu chinna pasanga (rameshwaram) nadippu... Gokkamakka asatthittaanunga. Especially that kannaadi kaara paiyyan... :)
But there were a very few minor things that could've been improved:
1. First shot... Andha melur pasanga vandi ottittu paora scene la camera vacchurundha cycle la irundha kai oru chinna paiyyan kai kedaiyaadhu and on top of it right hand la oru manjal/segappu kayiru kattirukkaaru. But down the line andha pasanga flight a verattradha patthi discuss pannrappao it's missing and his hand is no close to a man's hand. :)
2. Madurai and Melur la timing sync pannaa maadhiri Yaazhpaanatthula panna marandhutta. I mean technically namakkum Srilankakkum almost the same time or Srilankan time should be ahead of us. So namakkae iruttra naeram nerungudhu naa (andha kozhandhaikki saadham ooti vidra maadi la irukkura shadows are too long)Colombo la iruttirukkanum or at least close to that. If it is a morning, school pasanga ice cream saapttu varradhu sync aagala! Just a matter of continuity. But perfection irundhurukkum adhu pannirundhaa.
3. Andha Madurai shot la kadaesila mudikkirappao long shot la konjam artificial a paocchu. I mean flight a kaatti oottuvaanga. But kaattittae irukka maattaanga illayaa? :)
4. Flight la irundhu paakkurappao clouds avlo vaegamaa move aagumaa? At least not as far as I know appidi kedaiyaadhu. :) Even andha clip la fast a irundhurundhaa kooda, adha slow (frame rate reduction) pannirukka mudiyaadhaa?
5. Cockpit scenes la lighting different. But I could understand ur limitation here. So not a big deal.
6. Andha Colombo paiyyan kadaesila kaadha thavira ellaatthayumae moodikkiraan :D Konjam focus pannirukkalaam... But his expressions were really good. Adhae maadhiri avanaoda lip movement appaaa nu irukku. But isn't that too 'Indian'. Think Srilankans will be using a different way of expressing relief?!
7. Andha Rickshaw kaaran vizhundhuraadheengada nu sollra andha sequence was too artificial. I mean namma pasangalukkulla paesikkira tone la sollappattaa maadhiri irundhadhu. Not many would notice it... Still... :)
8. Title card paodrappao oru optical illusion a use pannirundhaa super a irundhurukkum.
But nee kuduttha over all product munnaadi idhellaam adi pattu paocchu maapla! I'm really proud of u. Pattaya kelappitta pao. Marubadiyum sollraen... Director aanaa kandukkao maapla! :D

hey karthik, good job man keep it up. i know the place where u took the flight landing scene, its a new tourist spot for madurai people, offcourse its my native.
Very impressive direction - I feel this is your best directed film to date.
The children in the film have acted very well and helped in getting the message across very effectively.
Also, the locations and camera angles were beautiful.
So was the message that you conveyed..

I just couldn't give up on this film without any comment.
This was one of my most loved films of your collection.
The story that you portrayed might have been a small one, but the message u conveyed was a real explosive one. The gravity f the situation was aptly protrayed in a real real short period of time.
